Unfortunately, the TBBS price has changed significantly due to the extremely tight supply situation with TBA (tert-butylamine).

Until now, there have been three manufacturers of TBA in China: BASF / Fufeng / Yabang.

Now Yabang has announced that production of TBA (with a capacity of 10.000 tonnes/year) will be completely stopped from April.

BASF also announced that it will reduce 50% of TBA capacity due to the rise in raw material prices, meaning another 10.000 tons/year will be missing.

So it's no wonder that the TBA price is rising sharply. There are also rumors in the market that BASF will increase the TBA price by over 100% due to the tight supply (!)

Due to this situation, all TBBS producers in China announced hefty TBBS price increases last week.
