The UN Global Compact is the world's largest and most important initiative for sustainable and responsible corporate governance.
Based on the 10 universal principles and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, the UN Global Compact pursues the vision of a more inclusive and sustainable economy. Over 19.000 companies and organizations are already signatories to the UN Global Compact and contribute to the global vision.
The UN Global Compact offers all participants extensive support on key sustainability issues as well as a variety of high-profile international events.
The UN Global Compact Network Germany (UN GCD) currently includes more than 800 participants - including around 740 companies from DAX to medium-sized companies to SMEs, as well as 60 representatives from civil society, science and the public sector. With the aim of initiating change processes in companies and strategically anchoring sustainability, the UN GCD is oriented towards the topics of human rights, labor standards, the environment, climate, corruption prevention, reporting and the SDGs.
